By purchasing a class, package, or membership and/or participating in any class, event, or service offered by Melanin Flow Yoga Studio, you (“Client,” “Member,” or “Participant”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Studio Overview

Melanin Flow Yoga Studio is a boutique yoga studio and currently operates with one instructor. Class schedules, availability, and substitutions are subject to change due to instructor availability, emergencies, illness, or unforeseen circumstances.

Class starts promptly at the time listed. If you are late, you will not be able to enter the class and will not receive a credit or refund. Doors will be locked promptly to ensure the safety of all students.

2. Class Registration & Payment

  • All classes, memberships, workshops, and events must be paid in full at the time of booking.

  • Registration is completed online through our booking system.

  • A completed waiver and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions are required prior to participation.

3. Cancellations, No-Shows & Class Credits

Drop-In Classes

  • If a scheduled class is canceled by Melanin Flow Yoga Studio, your payment will be converted to a class credit.

  • Class credits may be used toward a future class and have no cash value.

  • Credits are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for refunds.

  • If you need to reschedule a class, please call, text, or email within 24. hours of your scheduled class.

Monthly Memberships

  • Monthly memberships are offered at a discounted rate.

  • No credits, refunds, or make-ups will be issued for missed or canceled classes under a monthly membership.

  • This includes cancellations due to instructor availability, schedule changes, holidays, or personal conflicts.

4. Membership Terms

  • Memberships are auto-renewing monthly unless canceled by the member.

  • Members are responsible for managing their own memberships through the booking system.

  • Cancellation requests must be made in writing at least 30 days prior to the next billing cycle.

  • No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.

5. Studio-Initiated Cancellations

Melanin Flow Yoga Studio reserves the right to:

  • Cancel or reschedule classes as needed

  • Modify the class schedule, class format, or instructor

  • Temporarily close due to illness, emergencies, weather, or other unforeseen events

When possible, advance notice will be provided.

6. Health & Medical Disclaimer

Yoga is a physical practice that carries inherent risks.

By participating, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are physically able to participate in yoga activities

  • You understand your own physical limitations

  • You are responsible for consulting a physician before beginning any new exercise program

Melanin Flow Yoga Studio does not provide medical advice.

Participation is entirely voluntary and at your own risk.

7. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

By attending classes or events, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with physical activity, including but not limited to:

  • Muscle strains

  • Falls

  • Injuries

  • Aggravation of pre-existing conditions

You agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Melanin Flow Yoga Studio, its owner, instructor(s), contractors, and affiliates from any claims, injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation.

8. Personal Belongings

Melanin Flow Yoga Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. Please keep valuables with you at all times.

9. Code of Conduct

We are committed to maintaining a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment.

Participants are expected to:

  • Treat instructors and fellow students with respect

  • Follow studio guidelines and safety instructions

  • Refrain from disruptive, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior

The studio reserves the right to refuse service or remove participants who violate this policy, without refund.

10. Photography & Media Release

Classes or events may be photographed or recorded for marketing and promotional purposes.

By attending, you grant Melanin Flow Yoga Studio permission to use images or recordings in which you may appear, unless you notify the studio in writing prior to participation.

11. Pricing & Policy Changes

Melanin Flow Yoga Studio reserves the right to:

  • Update pricing

  • Modify memberships, class offerings, or policies

  • Update these Terms & Conditions at any time

Changes will be posted on the website and take effect immediately upon publication.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state of Texas.

13. Agreement & Acceptance

By checking the box during checkout and completing your purchase, you confirm that you:

  • Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

  • Agree to abide by all studio policies

  • Accept full responsibility for your participation
